The Core

Sunday night following a nice kill of Festergut, but down a person due to constant D/Cs, we decided to head to the Blood Princes, vs. spending additional time on Professor Putricide.

And, as with any good day at school, we learned many things.

We learned that new content attendance is directly inverse to farm content attendance.

We learned power outages randomly, maliciously, and mysteriously afflict raid members during the active course of learning content evening.

* We quickly learned the power of Kinetic Balls and Dark Balls and Shock Blasts and "White Flashy Jizz on the Ground" pain and wiping.
* We learned that Wulf and Cutrock excel at bouncing balls. And that they hated every minute of it.
* We learned that Azallan excels at eating Dark Balls.
* We learned that Azallan takes a beat down tanking Prince Keleseth. Shadowbolt to the face? DEATH Ooops, missed the Starshards on the ground? DEATH Whoops...
* We learned that Mythran could outrange initial healer positioning on Prince Valanar, so we positioned our healers (Tondodino, Natashaa, Magron, Violetangel, Exley, Therapy and myself) around the room.
* We learned that bouncing bears, such as Ruytoo indeed make a wonderful paste on Prince Taldaram.


But we were steadfast.
We did not falter.
We did not waiver.

And as the minutes, and then hours, passed: we improved. From the 70%, to the 30s. Hovering in the 30s for several attempts.

Along the way, we even added Cadgar- who happened to hop on and volunteer, knowing we had some wipes ahead. We had Kadelna DPS and Heal. We had Tondodino Heal and DPS.

We wiped at 19%. Then had a bad wipe. Maybe another. I'm sure I wasn't the only one that had wipes blurring together.

We recleared the trash. We let Tondo's leafy goodness die on every pull along the way.
We added Therapy (after he returned from an AFK)- finally filling out to 25 again. We went on a lark, a hunch, and swapped Durendal to protection. We had Azallan he of the multifaceted deaths by so many, many grizzly means swap to DPS. We had Kadelna back to DPS.

We engaged.



The pull is clean. DPS and healers are in place. We move out of the first shockwave. We lather. We rinse. We repeat.

Along the way we have 2 die. The first of several, as it was turned out. But that is hindsight, so we burn Bignastie and Tondodino's battle-resses.

The fight continues. The targetted prince's alter. Back and forth we go. We lose a few here. A few more there- so frequently to white sparkly jizz on the ground- but we are well ahead of the enrage timer.

And the health dwindles. We pass the 30s. And the teens.

We can taste it.... we can see it.... and...

With that -with the core crew at hand- with the hour late, but the objective met, the Blood Princes were downed.....
